G.B was Futurist artist. The Futurism art movement was interested in showing movement and action on their art work.

"Icarus” was created in 1943 by the French artist Henri Matisse.

Matisse made Icarus with paper cutouts. Icarus is part of a art magazine called Jazz. 

Matisse became very sick and could not paint anymore after his illness. However, he did not stop being an artist and instead of painting, he started to created paper collages. He used to say that he was “painting with scissors”.
