"The Sleeping Gypsy” was created in 1897 by the French artist Henri Rousseau.

Rousseau was a self-taught artist, that means, he never went to an art school. He learned to paint by himself. This painting is in the Museum of Modern Art, in New York City. It’s a big painting and you can go there to visit the The Slleping Gypsy. It’s beuatiful!
