Acceptable Foods & Snacks for Class Parties

In an effort to provide students with the safest and healthiest learning environment, we have compiled an acceptable list of healthy snacks that will be offered to the students at classroom parties and celebrations, including Halloween, Valentine’s Day, etc. and/or class curricular celebrations. No other food items will be offered at these events. Typically, these foods are arranged for through our class and grade parents who help to coordinate these school events.

  • Fruit Platter
  • Vegetable Platter
  • Plain Bagels (nut-free; pay close attention to labels to avoid cross-contamination - if purchased from a bagel shop, they must be certified nut-free
  • Mini muffins (nut-free)
  • Spreadable Cream Cheese
  • Spreadable Butter
  • Plain, unflavored popcorn
  • Baked potato chips
  • Pretzels
  • Juice Boxes/Pouches (made with 100% fruit juice only)
  • Dunkin’ Donuts Munchkins
  • Dunkin’ Donuts Hot Chocolate
  • Italian Ice (made with 100% fruit juice only)

Special Considerations

  • Village or Natale’s Pizza ***for special events only (holiday, end of year, etc.)
  • Dairy Queen Ice-Cream Cake *** for Hillside Birthday Club Only
  • Frozen Ice Treats (in plastic sleeves) ***for Field Day only
  • Ice Cream Truck *** for Grade K & 3 only
